This exhibition presents international photographers and their work during the 20th century, it looks at their view of London and their experiences in a foreign city. The exhibition shows London to be very dynamic in terms of the people and also the city it self. The upper and middle classes are documented as well as the working class and the urban poor. There are 41 photographers in the exhibition each one had a different experience in the city: the photographs highlight this which results in capturing London as a cultural city.
The different themes in the exhibition - class systems e.g. upper/middle class, poor, homeless. Different areas in the city, therefore different types of people. Race - immigrants. Fashion - which related to money. Emotion - capturing a certain moment that is honest enough that you can tell a story and remember the atmosphere. The themes in the photographs interest me and i would like to relate them in my images, the photographers thought that they were important through their eyes and they mean something to them, and if we can all perceive it in different ways there is depth and more meaning behind it.
